Starting today through the end of the NFL season, each Monday we'll be breaking down a couple of the most MVP worthy plays, players, performances or anything else that went on worthy of MVP consideration. Patrick MahomesTough to argue with the level he plays on, week in and week out. The Raiders worked hard to come back and aided by the KC defense making some very dumb and timely penalties they climbed ahead late in the 4th quarter. But just as you don't ever give Brady, Peyton, Favre, Rodgers or Roethlisberger the ball with more than a minute and a timeout left, Ol Patty marched them right down the field. Calm, cool collected and dropped one to a wide open Travis Kelce for the go ahead TD. MVP worthy for sure. CeeDee Lamb and Adam ThielenWatching the CeeDee catch and thinking, "that might be the catch of the year" then only to see Thielen just be like hold my beer and put up one of the most ridiculous one handed, toe tap, corner of the end zone catches was insane. Granted both of these teams are heavily flawed and make no real threat to get into or make a push in the playoffs, it was still a really entertaining game and had 2 MVP worthy catches. Justin HerbertMinus the 12 year old looking haircut, it was yet another good week for AirBear. Looking more and more each week like the real deal and not just getting lucky, the Chargers may be competing for a while with the Bengals over who got the best QB in the 2020 draft. Now if they could just figure out the rest of the team around him, they might be able to turn these close games into wins and really shake up the AFC. Honorable Mention - Pittsburgh SteelersNothing hidden behind the curtain here, We are big Steelers fans around the shop. However to ignore the 10-0 record, inching toward more complete performances, spreading the ball to whoever is hot, the defense getting better each week. It would be wrong not to acknowledge the undefeated and now improving Steelers. No clear cut best performance but all around looking like they mean business and are ready to make a real run in the playoffs.
